The kitchen garden
Once part of a large market garden, the Walled Kitchen Garden at Tapeley Park was used to provide various delicacies to the house, the Saunton Sands Hotel and the Marine Hotel in Instow - including year-round herbs and salads, and extended season Grapes and Peaches. Many of the old fruit trees remain and are still fruiting - rare varieties of pear and apple, plums and greengages, and the original grape stock from the 1930's - Black Hamburg and Muscat
